Open the guys category from the character listing and you get the same thing the other side gets: a written personality, a relationship style, and chat plus media features attached to it. Nothing is reduced or simplified on this half of the roster.
Setting a tone that holds
Male companions drift in a particular direction if you let them: towards a flat, agreeable register that answers everything and commits to nothing. The fix is the same as on the girlfriend side. Open with a situation rather than a greeting, and correct the register in the chat the moment it slides. Text messaging is unlimited on every paid plan, so correcting costs nothing but a minute.
Building one yourself
The builder sets ethnicity, age, hairstyle, eye colour and body type, and lets you name him. The name matters more than it sounds, because it is the handle he uses for himself in every format.
